The Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts presents a landmark exhibition of the Linda Lee Alter Collection of Art by Women, curated by Robert Cozzolino. Beginning in the mid-1980s, Ms. Linda Lee Alter assembled a multi-generational collection of art made by women that revealed the stylistic diversity, range of subject matter, and high quality of work being made by female artists. The collection features works by artists represented and exhibited at Locks Gallery, Edna Andrade, Polly Apfelbaum, Jennifer Bartlett, Louise Bourgeois, Neysa Grassi, Sarah McCoubrey, Sarah McEneaney, Susan Moore, Alice Neel, Louise Nevelson, Nancy Graves, and Elizabeth Osborne, among others.
