Orit Hofshi is exhibiting work in Traces V - Beyond Paper: The 5th Biennale for Drawing in Israel. The exhibition opened on Saturday December 21st, and the exhibition will be on view through the first of March, 2014. Exhibited is a 2013 drawing and carving on wood panels entitled Indication that spans nearly 32 feet.
Curated by Tal Yahas, the main exhibition is on view at the Jerusalem Artist House, in a building that was previously the country's first art and design school, the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. This year's exhibition "liberates drawing from the borders of paper" and looks to include works on unconventional grounds that expand contemporary definitions of drawing.
