Locks Gallery is pleased to present a special exhibition of sculpture by Alexander Calder. Featuring a selection of works completed between 1942–1973, this exhibition highlights the elegantly playful works of a beloved American sculptor. These works have not been widely exhibited and will only
be on public view at Locks Gallery until May 28.
Works on view include a large, outdoor standing mobile, installed inside the gallery alongside three outstanding examples of pedestal sized standing mobiles. Additionally, the exhibition includes a striking red mobile from 1962
and two small sculptures, realized in Calder’s typical media of painted sheet metal and metal wire.
